Résumé This Law prescribes measures and procedures aimed to prevent conflicts of public and private interest; regulates restrictions on the performance of public functions, submission of reports on income and property of public officials, protection of persons reporting threats to the public interest that indicate the existence of corruption, and other issues of importance for prevention and suppression of corruption. Corruption is any abuse of official, business, or social position or influence in order to gain personal gain or benefit for another. The Agency for the prevention of corruption is an independent and autonomous body, established by the Parliament of Montenegro, in accordance with this Law. A whistleblower, in the sense of this text, is a natural and legal person who submits a report on endangerment of public interests, which indicates the existence of corruption.
