Résumé

The present Act lays down provisions relating to land use planning in the Canton of Nidwald. In particular, it ensures an economical use of soil, regulated settlements with a view to conserve natural living space, the cultural heritage of the Canton, a sustainable development and coordination of competences. It aims also at the unification of the construction law. The text consists of 207 articles divided into 11 Parts as follows: General provisions (I); Planning regulations (II); Zoning (III); Land consolidation and border regulations (IV); Compensation payments and financial contributions (V); Building regulations (VI); Building authorizations and building police (VII); Legal protection (VII); Survey (VIII); Legal costs (IX); Legal protection and penalties (X); Implementation, transitional and final provisions (XI).
