The Law enters into force from the date of its official publication.
Résumé

The present Law determines the main targets, organizational principles of the structuring and functioning of civil protection, the competence of the executive bodies, enterprises, institutions and organizations, the rights and the duties of the nationals, foreign and stateless natural persons in the sphere of civil protection. The main tasks of civil protection service: 1) organization, development and maintenance of early warning system of the population; 2) observation and laboratory control over radiation, chemical, bacteriological and biological situation; 3) protection of foodstuffs, water supply systems, alimentary raw materials, fodder, animals and plants against radioactive, chemical, bacteriological and biological contamination, and also epizooties and epiphytes (art. 3). The arrangements of civil protection service in the sphere of the protection of the population, territories and objects against natural and technological disasters include: 1) land use planning with the consideration of the possible flooding, mudflows, landslide and other dangerous exogenous natural phenomena; 2) organization of the system of monitoring, notification of the population and economic entities of man-caused accidents, possible flooding, mudflows, landslide and other dangerous exogenous natural phenomena (art. 5). The Law consists of 8 Sections composed of 32 articles.
