The present Law establishes legal basis for certification of produce, quality systems and production processes, regulates relations in the sphere of certification, establishes rights, duties and responsibility of the participants of certification. The main purpose of certification is to ensure safety of produce for human health and environment. There are two types of certification – compulsory and voluntary. Compulsory certification regards certification of produce included in the list of produce subject to compulsory certification for compliance with the requirements of standards and other normative documents ensuring safety thereof for human health and environment.
