This Law enters into force on the date of its official publication.
Résumé

The scope of this Law shall be to regulate cadastre mapping and management of land cadastre. Mongolian nationals, natural and legal persons, must register their immovable property located on the territory of Mongolia in accordance with the provisions of this Law. Cadastre shall be intended establishing the location, boundary, area, volume, quantity and status of land and other immovable property, conducting qualitative and economic assessments, establishing grounds for payment of fees for possession, use, and ownership thereof. Cadastral mapping shall be intended activities of cadastral mapping of geodetic measurements, identification and processing of all types of maps. Cadastral mapping shall be classified as land mapping, urban development (land-use planning), mapping of engineering linear facilities, geology, mining and other depending on the type of immovable property. Cadastral mapping shall be carried out in accordance with the main purposeful use of land and requirements set for land use in accordance with the main classification of the unified land fund and made with the consideration of the land, soil, water and vegetation. Cadastral mapping of urban areas shall be separated from the subdivision of the urban area by sub-classification of green areas, construction on-site and underground utility system, water supply, water discharge and drainage. Cadastral mapping of the linear engineering structure shall be separated from the surface railway, civilian aerodrome, fuel, energy, telecommunications, water supply and irrigation system. Geology and mining cadastre mapping shall be distinguished by geology, exploration, mining and reserve fields and shall be made with geology and mining baseline content. Cadastral mapping of other categories shall be distinguished by their respective sub-categories and shall be made with the consideration of the basic category of geological and mining data. Cadastral mapping shall be subject to mandatory revision once a year. Regardless of the land possession or use, land records shall be maintained by each administrative and territorial unit within the unified fund and deposited into the land information database. Land quality assessment shall be performed for the purpose of formulating state land policy. Land quality assessment shall be based upon the results of the unified land census, containing information on soil, water, vegetation and land reform. This Law consists of IV Chapters divided into 21 Articles. Chapter I lays down general provisions. Chapter II regards cadastral survey. Chapter III legislative provisions. Chapter IV contains miscellaneous provisions.
