This Law comes into force on 10 November 2021.
Résumé

The Protocol on Protection of Biodiversity, is ratified as an accessory instrument to the Framework Convention for the Protection of the Marine Environment of the Caspian Sea that was ratified in 2003 between five littoral states of Caspian Sea, namely Azerbaijan Republic, Iran Islamic Republic, Kazakhstan Republic, Russian Federation and Turkmenistan. This law provides for protection of life of biodiversity in the water and coastal parts of the Caspian Sea and monitoring requirements for the activity of human beings in these areas. The instrument's goals are reducing environmental pressure on this region, to prevent transfer of bio species inside or outside of Caspian Sea and to nominating natural protected areas. The signatory states should provide reports on implementation of this international instrument and have scientific and technical cooperation for its implementation. The tools, consequences and requirements for protection of the bio species should be evaluated. This Protocol is drafted in 30 Articles.
