The purpose of this Law is to establish legal mechanisms which: (a) ensure the protection of the rights of an IDP during the period of being an IDP; (b) facilitate the integration of an IDP at the place of his/her registration; and (c) facilitate the solution of problems of an IDP. Among others, the law provides for the social protection of the IDPs and providing them with a place of residence.
