It consists of four chapters: General provisions (I); General principles of issuing a grant (II); Taxation of grants (III); and Transitional and final provisions (IV). A grant is defined as monetary or natural means transferred for a specific purpose for free from a donor to a beneficiary which is used for the implementation of a specific humanist, educational, scientific-research, healthcare, cultural, sports, ecological, agricultural development and social projects, as well as programs of the state and public importance. Some of the recipients of grants may be an agricultural cooperative, a commercial entity if the grant is issued by the Innovation and Technology Agency of Georgia, and the Business Ombudsman of Georgia.
