Entry into force notes
This Law enters into force on 1 January 2019.
Résumé

Article 1 shall be amended to add the following wording: “The scope of this Law shall be to ensure stockpiling, management, use, supervision, regulation of formation and maintenance of stocks of oil (petroleum) products and oil (petrol), as well as the management, use and disposal of oil products and oil reserves owned by the state.” Article 2 shall be amended to add the following wording: “Obligated enterprises - oil refineries, oil products and/or oil companies and business entities importing them, with the exception of a public body, the Lithuanian Energy Agency, which, in accordance with the provisions of this Law, accumulate and manage oil (petroleum) products and oil (petroleum) stocks, which process, manufacture or import oil (petroleum) products and oil (petroleum) per year the amount exceeding 100 tons. The indicated amount is calculated by summing up the amount of oil (petroleum) products and oil (petrol) manufactured or imported by enterprises and business entities. Special (reserve) stocks of oil (petroleum) products shall be considered stocks of oil (petroleum) products accumulated by the Lithuanian Energy Agency at the national level.”
