Résumé Article 1 shall be amended to add the following wording: “Consumer cooperative shall consist of at least 5 members (participant) and shall have as its purpose meeting the demand for commodities and services, and protection of legal interests of its members. Consumer cooperative shall have the status of non-profit entity set up on a voluntary basis. Consumer cooperative shall be authorized to perform any activity that is not prohibited by law”. Article 2 shall be amended to add the following wording: “Members of consumer cooperatives may be natural persons and (or) jointly individual entrepreneurs who have signed business agreement and employed staff in agricultural production activities”. Article 3 shall be amended to add the following wording: “Association (Union) of consumer cooperatives shall be legal entity whose activities shall be regulated by the Civil Code and this Law”. Article 4 shall be amended to add the following wording: “Consumer cooperative in its activities shall be independent from public administration and local government”.
