Résumé This Law aims at promoting and encouraging the development of agroecology and organic production within the State. To achieve the objectives of this Law, small farmers will be stimulated to practices aimed at: encourage the implementation of agroecological systems of production and certification of organic production, for expanding production with regular supply; supporting producer associations in organizing and certifying production, post-harvest processing, and direct marketing to the final consumer; develop research and encourage the production of legume seeds for green manure; stimulate the recovery of soil fertility with the use of green manure, compost and other organic fertilizers; stimulate the production of small animals for diversification, improved management and economic viability, with family farmers; stimulate reforestation, afforestation and forestry as an economic and diversification option in all ecological agricultural production activities, preferably with native products; develop a brand that characterizes the organic/agroecological products of family farmers; promote lectures on agroecology in municipal and state public schools and encourage the development of agroecological projects in schools.
