Résumé This Law shall be applicable to the relations originating between the producers and the consumers, and also between traders (sellers) and suppliers in accordance with purchase and sale contracts. Consumer shall have the following rights: (a) access to information; (b) quality and safety of commodities; (c) compensation of damages; and (d) creation of consumer associations. Labels of foodstuffs shall contain information on nutritional value, energy value (for infant, dietary and medicinal food), presence of GMO and presence of hazardous substances for certain age groups. This Law consists of 6 Sections divided into 47 Articles: (1) general provisions; (2) liability for the violation of the consumers’ rights; (3) protection of consumer’s rights in the process of vending; (4) protection of consumer’s rights in the process of servicing; (5) state protection of consumers’ rights; and (6) social protection of consumers.
