Résumé This Law, consisting of 13 articles, establishes the Incentives Programme for the improvement of agricultural soils aiming to develop plant production, especially grains. The Incentives Programme, aims at the development of family agriculture and commercial grain agriculture, covering crops of soybeans, corn, irrigated rice, beans, cassava, fruit growing, horticulture and pasture recovery. Rural producers will benefit from these agricultural incentives only if they meet the following conditions: 1. prove to own or lease rural property of at least 100 hectares of area suitable for the cultivation of soya, maize, rice, and beans; 2. they are duly registered as rural producers and in conditions of compliance, as well as, regularized with the state environmental agency; 3. have a plan for planting annually at least 50 hectares of one of the specified crops. The purpose of this programme is to complement resources for the acquisition by the beneficiary of agricultural limestone for soil improvement in a minimum area of 50 hectares and a maximum of 3,000 hectares.
