The Law enters into force from the date of its official publication.
Résumé

Law on state protected areas has as its purpose the protection of marine and land ecosystems, natural resources, territories, nature monuments, endangered and rare animals and plants. State protected areas shall be recognized land, forests, water, subsoil, airspace) natural complexes and separate objects having particular ecological, scientific, cultural and educational, recreational and aesthetic value posted under protection of the state for the purpose of conservation, renewal and restoration of ecological balance, richness and diversity of natural resources, separate natural complexes and favourable properties of natural environment (art. 1). State cadastre of protected areas contains date on the status, position, qualitative characteristics of the natural complexes, ecological, scientific, geological value of the areas. The purpose of cadastre is valuation of state protected areas, rational use and development planning thereof (art. 6). State reserves shall carry out the following functions: 1) conservation of natural habitats; 2) conservation and reproduction of rare and endangered animals and plants; 4) conservation of biological diversity; 5) monitoring of biosphere reserves (art. 8). The following activities are prohibited on the territory of state protected areas: 1) all types of forest management; 2) hunting, fisheries, capture and annihilation of wildlife species, destruction of natural habitats thereof; 3) acclimatization (release of alien species) (art. 10). Individuals found guilty of the infringement of the regime of state protected areas are liable to administrative, civil or penal prosecution (art. 19). The Law consists of 8 Sections composed of 21 articles.
