(article 2 of the Law). Résumé This law ratifies the European Convention for the Protection of Animals During International Transport which was signed by Greece on 13 December 1968 (article 1 of the present law). The Convention, by the Council of Europe, regulates the international transport of animals. Length of travel, space, ventilation, temperature and specific species requirements are specifically provided for. Its provisions include travel by air and water. It applies to farm animals as well as domestic dogs and cats, other mammals and birds and cold-blooded animals.
