Résumé

This Law amends the environmental licensing requirements within the State of Amazonas. Amendments establish exemption from state environmental licensing for low polluting/degrading potential activities, such as: rehabilitation and cleaning of pastures, agricultural and forestry crops in consolidated areas, located outside the legal reserve, preservation areas and restricted use areas, guaranteeing limitations to the rules of the Forestry Code; family or community animal slaughter micro-enterprises, as CONAMA Resolution No. 385/06, that meet the sanitary conditions and do not exceed the maximum daily slaughtering capacity of: a) large animals: up to 3 animals/day; b) medium-sized animals: up to 10 animals/day; c) small animals: up to 500 animals/day.” The Amazonas Environmental Protection Institute - IPAAM will define the specific procedures for state environmental licensing and authorizations, observing the nature, characteristics and peculiarities of the activity or enterprise, and also the compatibility of the licensing process.
