Résumé This Law, consisting of 7 articles, creates the State Council on Energy Policy within the State of Rio de Janeiro (CEPE). This Law establishes composition, duties and responsibilities of the above mentioned institution, entitled to establish baselines and State policies, aiming at responding to the needs and the economic development of the State, in sectors related to the energy production and conservation (including oil and natural gas), in view of the protection of the environment and the conservation of natural energy.
