This Law enters into force 90 days after its publication.
Résumé

This Law, consisting of 28 articles divided ino six Chapters, approves the Industrial Activities Law, which establishes the general principles and standards applicable to industrial activities of any nature, carried out in the national territory. In addition, it specifies the prevention of risks and inconveniences resulting from the work of industrial establishments, the safeguarding of public health and workers, the safety of people and goods, hygiene and safety of workplaces, the environment and the quality of national industrial goods. This law seeks to achieve: a) guarantee and protection of the freedom to exercise industrial activity; b) modernization and industrial and/or technological promotion; c) innovation and increased competitiveness; d) industrial safety and quality; e) industrial responsibility; f) prevention, reduction and elimination of risks, inherent to industrial activities. Industrial activities, of any kind, must be carried out with minimal damage to the environment and the location where they are located. Industrial activities which, by their nature, are likely to cause damage to the environment can only be authorized after approval of the environmental impact assessment, by the authority responsible for the environmental sector.
