This Law enters into force on the day of its publication.
Résumé

This Law creates the State Programme "Mais Produção"(More Production) to encourage the recovery of degraded areas within family farming holdings and to promote the development of agriculture and livestock using limestone. For the execution of the Programme, the Executive Branch will promote the acquisition and will carry out limestone road transportation free of charge to family farming producers that fall under art. 3 of this Law. The Secretary of State for Agriculture (SEAGRI) will be in charge for the management, organization and execution of the State Programme "Mais Produção". Only rural producers who meet the following requirements may be beneficiaries: exploit the land as owner, settler, tenant, partner or landlord; explore activities such as farmer, milk farmer, fish farming, coffee growing, horticulture, planted forests or other agriculture-related activity; hold an area lesser than 4 fiscal units; predominantly use family labour in the economic activities of its holding; has family income originated mainly from economic activities linked to the holding itself or similar; has the Declaration of Aptitude for the National Programme for Strengthening Family Agriculture (DAP); submit recent soil analysis of the area less than 1 year.
