Résumé This Law shall be applicable to the relations between consumer on one side and manufacturer, trader, supplier, contractor on the other, originating from retail purchase and sale contracts, lease, storage, energy supply and other service contracts. The Act consists of 6 Sections divided into 47 articles: (1) general provisions; (2) liability for the infringement of consumers’ rights; (3) consumer protection in the process of trade; (4) consumer protection of the process of workmanship and/or servicing; (5) state protection of consumers’ rights; and (6) public protection of consumers’ rights. Foodstuffs labels shall obligatorily contain the following information: (a) nutritional values and composition; (b) for dietary and infant food – caloric value, presence of food additives and GMO; (c) presence of hazardous substances, that are harmful for life and health of the consumer; and (d) indication for use by some age groups of the consumers.
