Résumé

This Law establishes the State Technical Registry of Potentially Polluting Activities or those exploiting Environmental Resources (CTE) and the Environmental Control and Inspection Fee of the State of Tocantins (TCFATO). The CTE is mandatory and free of charge for individuals or legal entities engaged in activities, such as: potentially polluting activities; extraction, production, transport and commercialization of: a) products potentially dangerous to the environment; b) products and by-products of fauna and flora. Potentially polluting activities and those activities exploiting environmental resources are those listed in Annex I. CTE is part of the National Environmental Information System (SINIMA). The State Institution for Nature (Instituto Natureza do Tocantins) (NATURATINS) is responsible for: managing the CTE; define procedures for the CTE; keep SINIMA updated; promote, together with the Brazilian Institution for the Environment and Renewable Natural Resources (IBAMA) the integration of data from the CTE and the Federal Technical Registry of Potentially Polluting Activities or those exploiting Environmental Resources.
