Résumé

This 9-article Law is designed to penalize all forms of electricity theft, targeting individuals involved in stealing or facilitating the theft of electrical energy from the public electricity network. The law also encompasses occupants of properties where theft occurs and those who benefit from such acts, as well as workers in relevant entities who contribute to or take advantage of the theft. Article 3 grants the investment authority the immediate right to disconnect the electrical supply of those caught stealing electricity. The entity overseeing investment is responsible for addressing pre-existing crimes related to electricity theft, collecting the unlawfully consumed energy's value, additional specified amounts, and reconciling violators' status with its systems upon request within a four-month period from the law's effective date.
