Résumé

This law ratifies the international Convention on Salvage which was signed in London on Geneva on 28 April 1989 (article 1 of the present law). The objective of the Convention is to provide for uniform international rules regarding salvage operations in the light of the need for timely operations and to protect the environment. The provisions of this Convention shall not apply when the property involved in the salvage operations is maritime cultural property of prehistoric, archaeological or historic interest and is situated on the sea bed (article 2). The law, consisting of three articles (ratification, reservation and entry into force), adopts all its provisions.
