Résumé This Law determines the amount and structure of quarantine service fees established by the Law of Georgia on Agricultural Quarantine. A quarantine service fee shall be compulsory for services rendered by the state in carrying out necessary quarantine measures. Quarantine service fees shall be applicable to any physical and legal persons engaged in production of products of plant or animal origin and any other products subject to quarantine, as well as in cargo transportation, storage, processing and sale. Quarantine service fees shall be levied for: phytosanitary quarantine measures and veterinary quarantine measures. The following activities shall be subject to payment of quarantine service fees: (a) examination of plant species, seeds, including mushrooms, vegetables, seeds, cereals and grains, timber, textile plants and fibres; (b) examination of tare and packaging materials and transport facilities; and (c) examination of industrial commodities that may be carriers of pests and diseases.
