Résumé This Law, consisting of 12 articles divided into four Chapters, establishes the State Policy on Solid Waste within the State of Paraná under the coordination of the State Secretariat of Environment and Water Resources (SEMA). It aims to support the integrated management of solid waste in the municipalities of Paraná. The Paraná Waste Programme complies with the principles and guidelines defined in the National Solid Waste Policy, established in Federal Law No. 12.305 of 2 August 2010. This Programme shall comply with the premises of the National Solid Waste Planning and the State Solid Waste Planning. The Programme principles are: encourage environmental education; systemic view on solid waste management; integrated, shared and participatory management of solid waste; control and supervision of solid waste management; decentralization of solid waste management; waste minimization through incentives to environmentally sound reuse and recycling practices; responsibility for the destination of generators, producers or importers of raw materials, intermediate products or finished products, conveyors, distributors, traders, consumers, waste pickers, collectors and solid waste operators at any stage of their management; acting in accordance with the state policies of water resources, environment, sanitation, health, education, social and economic development; recognition of reusable, recyclable solid waste as an economic good that generates work and income; valorization of human dignity and the promotion of the eradication of child and youth work in activities related to solid waste, with the purpose of their social integration and their family; systematic incentive to the activities of reuse, selective collection, composting, recycling and recovery of waste, and may even be created tax reduction mechanisms for companies that fit this profile, etc. Texte intégral Portugais Site web ww.legislacao.pr.gov.br
