This Law enters into force on the day of its publication.
Résumé

This Law amends by adding points 1, 2, and 3 to art. 34 of Law No. 12.854 of 22 December. Amendments deal with the following proceedings: Animals seized due to evidence of mistreatment or acts of zoophilia will not be returned to their owners and, in cases of apprehension of the commission of other irregularities, the provisions of paragraphs `a` and `d` of section II will apply, alternatively. The person who commits the offense of mistreatment or acts of zoophilia against animals will be responsible for the expenses arising from the physical and emotional recovery of the species.
