This Law enters into force on the day of its publication.
Résumé

This Law establishes the instruments for creating the State Forestry Development Plan for Family Farming and Indigenous Family Farming within the State of Roraima (PANDEFLORR) intended to encourage the planting of native and exotic forests within the geographic limits of the State of Roraima, as a socioeconomic and ethno-economic alternative, in rural properties and indigenous territories as a way of conserving native forest remnants and ensuring food security for family farmers and indigenous family farmers. PANDEFLORR objectives are: to promote the recovery and conservation of permanent preservation areas and legal reserves, as well as native forest remnants; encourage the formation of mosaic, intermittent and continuous forests; planted in ways to promote the formation and structuring of forestry and agro-silvopastoral system, implementing and restoring the biome and generating local economy for farmers; ensure forestry production, provide wood, through afforestation and reforestation with especially native species, including the composition of the biome, its values and its varied applications in the various economic sectors; promote the sustainable economic development of forestry activities, by encouraging the rational use of available natural resources, especially planted forests; favor the insertion of forestry activities in rural production activities as an alternative source of income for smallholdings, properties with up to four fiscal modules, in indigenous lands with the intervention of guardianship bodies and local organizations when applicable, etc.
