Résumé

The objectives of this Law, consisting of 44 articles divided into six Chapters, are to perform the following activities: 1. Establish the bases for the sustainable development of products from agriculture, including aquaculture, and subsequent processing to be marketed for consumption. 2. Regulate the origin and quality labels of agri-food products. 3. Provide agri-food producers with the right tools to inform buyers and consumers of the unique characteristics and qualities of their products. 4. Contribute to guarantee fair competition for farmers and producers in the agri-food sector. 5. Contribute to guarantee the protection of legitimate rights and interests of producers, buyers and consumers, including access to reliable information about products and respect for intellectual property rights. 6. Regulate the inspection, control and sanctioning regime. This Law applies to all actions carried out in Andorran territory, in the field of organic production and in relation to the origin and quality certificates of agricultural and food products.
