Résumé This Law provides for Rural Tourism and the Policy for Promotion of Rural Tourism in the State of São Paulo with the purpose of promoting actions related to the planning, development and strengthening of rural tourism. In addition, it promotes the products and potentialities of the rural sector of the State. Rural Tourism is defined by Federal Law No. 11.771 of 17 September 2008. The State Policy for Promotion of Rural Tourism is guided by the following principles: valorization of the rural activity and induction of tourism potentiality; combat the rural exodus, through the aggregation of income, making possible the permanence of the population in the rural environment; diversification of rural property business; preservation of the characteristics of the natural heritage, landscape and architecture; dissemination and appreciation of habits and customs that are part of the local culture; support for family ownership; commitment to quality agricultural production and sustainable and agroecological processes. The State Policy for Promotion of Rural Tourism has the following objectives: create conditions for the maintenance and permanence of the population in rural areas; add value to rural products and stimulate direct contact between the producer and the final consumer; integrate the urban and rural areas by stimulating the exchange of cultural values; encourage social and environmental actions to strengthen sustainable development; identify and promote training and qualification of local populations and entrepreneurs, preserving the cultural and social characteristics of each region; encourage the use of new technologies; promote the association and cooperation between families to develop economically and environmentally sustainable tourism products; encourage public/private partnerships, educational and scientific institutions; promote the qualification and certification of public and private agents; promote the development of sustainable rural tourism and short supply chains, etc. Texte intégral Portugais Site web www.al.sp.gov.br
