Résumé This Law creates the State Environmental Payments Policy (PSA) and the State Programme for Payment for Environmental Services (PEPSA). They apply to natural or legal persons, whether public or private, who voluntarily act as providers, payers or mediators of environmental services or ecosystem services. The State PSA has the following objectives: promote protection, improvement and conservation of ecosystems, biodiversity and, in particular, the services they provide, with a view to sustainable development; value, economically, socially and culturally, the services provided by ecosystems for the well-being of present and future populations; promote economic alternatives for environmental service providers, based on enhancement of ecosystem services and the sustainable use of natural resources, contributing to poverty reduction, social inclusion and improvement in the living conditions of people living in the implementation of these initiatives; promote sustainable production, conservation and improvement of ecosystem products and services supply by establishing sustainable production chains; economic value of ecosystem services; promote sustainable development while safeguarding the social and cultural integrity of population; encourage environmental education actions; promote awareness-raising and environmental education for the beneficiaries of the State Programme (PEPSA); recognize and distribute, in a fair and equitable manner, the benefits arising from the implementation of the State Policy (PSA); recognize and value socio-cultural systems and knowledge of Traditional Peoples and Communities, family farmers and rural family entrepreneurs; preserve and recover degraded areas with native species; foster national and international cooperation, etc. Texte intégral Portugais Site web leisestaduais.com.br
