Résumé This Law sets forth legal and economic grounds for hunting and hunting management, regulates social relations concerning rational management and sustainable use, protection and reproduction of game, natural habitats thereof, and also the right of hunting for natural persons and communities to exercise hunting. It also establishes the sphere of competence of the Government, authorized state institutions in the sphere of hunting, environmental protection and local self-government related to hunting. Hunting fund shall be used in accordance with common and special practices. Common practices shall include use of wild fauna species for scientific research, cultural and educational, recreational, aesthetic and other purposes without hunting and without removal of wild fauna species out of their natural habitats. Common practices related to use of wild fauna species shall be performed by natural and legal persons free of charge and without any special permit. Special practices related to use of wild fauna species shall be considered hunting exclusively on authorized hunting grounds in accordance with hunting permit issued by competent public authority. Hunting managers shall operate hunting grounds in accordance with hunting management contracts concluded in accordance with requirements set forth by the national legislation. All hunting areas on the national territory, except for national reserves, national parks and national protected areas, shall be considered hunting grounds and shall pertain to the competence of the authorized state institution. Land-use planning schemes, mapping and the boundaries of hunting grounds shall be determined within the framework of interfarm arrangement of hunting grounds. Hunter shall have the right to constitute hunting associations and be member thereof; perform hunting in accordance with the national legislation; and own legally procured game in accordance with established modalities.
