The Act defines the following relevant terms: biological agent; authorised officer; chemical; collective agreement; contract of employment; critical substance, as a chemical agent, physical agent or biological agent, or combination thereof prescribed as a critical substance to which the exposure of an employee is prohibited, regulated, restricted, limited or controlled; employee; employer; existing industrial establishment; hazardous biological agent; hazardous chemical; hazardous physical agent; hazardous substances; major hazard installation; exploration of mineral resource; extraction of mineral resources; occupational disease; physical agent, as electromagnetic radiation, ionising radiation, noise, vibration, heat, cold, humidity and pressure; trade union; wages; work permit; young person; child.
