Résumé

These Bye-laws of the Kweneng District Council, made with the approval of the Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, introduce measures to control keeping and wandering livestock in areas within the council area specified in the Schedule. The Council may authorize persons to seize and destroy wandering livestock. The Bye-laws also empower the Council to prohibit the use of stables which in the opinion of the Council are unfit, undesirable or objectionable by reason of its locality, construction, or the manner of use of such stable. The Bye-laws furthermore define offences in relation with the keeping or letting loose of (harmful) animals or keeping of bees or poultry which is disturbing. Any livestock detained under these Bye-laws shall, if not claimed within a period of 21 days, be handed over to a matimela kraal as defined under the Matimela Act.
