National companies, which intend to obtain a fishing licence in favor of the aforementioned vessels, must comply with the following requirements, namely: a) Be legally constituted; b) Show a public deed certificate in accordance with the law; c) Have headquarters in the national territory, in which they must indicate industrial fishing services, address, administrative staff, and declaration of registration with the INSS; d) Be registered with the Directorate-General for Contributions and Taxes and have a certificate of landing issued by that structure; e) Show the original certificate of seaworthiness, international certificate of gross tonnage and ship and crew policies; f) Have such documents duly endorsed; g) All contracts of sea-workers on board the vessel for which the licence is required. Fishing vessels operating in Guinea-Bissau's Exclusive Economic Zone should not have a gross tonnage greater than 2,500 gross tonnage, unless otherwise provided for in conventions or agreements concluded on the matter. Access to fisheries resources is conditioned by the prior licensing or authorization issued by the competent authorities, the fees of which are set out in Annexes I, II and IV as requested by the applicant.
