Résumé

This Joint Ministerial Decision establishes eight criteria for assessment and classification of productivity of agricultural land. In accordance with assessment criteria agricultural land shall be classified by productivity in three categories: high productivity, average productivity and low productivity. Criteria of rating of agricultural land shall include drainage condition of soil (well drained, imperfectly drained, poorly drained), composition of soil (clay content), depth of soil (fertile layer), soil acidity, coarse-textured soils (content of gravel, stones), electrical conductivity of soil, ground slope and content of calcium carbonate. Agricultural land is graded in accordance with the table contained in the Annex 1. Land shall be attributed, in descending order, four classification categories (A), (B), (C) and (D), of which (A) is the best category and (D) shall not be classified as agricultural land as considered unsuitable soil.
