Résumé

The present Decree establishes the proceedings of determination of hazardousness degree and classification of hazardous waste and shall be compulsory for the producers and owners of waste. Hazardous waste shall be classified by the degree of harmful impact on environment and human health. The class of hazardousness shall be determined in conformity with toxicity thereof. Hazardous waste can be attributed the higher hazardousness degree if it has additional hazardous properties or particular characteristics. The determination of hazardousness degree and classification of hazardous waste shall be carried out by the producers or the owner of hazardous waste. The producer or the owner of hazardous waste must forward a written request to the Ministry of Public Health specifying the classification code of the proper production cycle, giving the full description of the source of waste and physicochemical composition issued by the accredited laboratory.
