The present Regulation regards prophylaxis and liquidation of the disease common animals and human beings – tuberculosis. Cattle can be infected by the bacteria bovis and tuberculosis while poultry can be infected by the bacteria avium. Sanitary arrangements shall be carried out by means of the systematic diagnostic research, simultaneous substitution of the livestock of the infected farm, express bringing into a healthy state (in case of the marginal spreading of the disease). For the purpose of the prevention of tuberculosis the following arrangements must be made: 1) to prevent transfer of cattle from one farm to the other and within the same farm without prior authorization issued by the veterinary experts; 2) all the newly arrived animals must be tested by the allergic method for tuberculosis within thirty-day period and in case of diagnostics thereof all the livestock shall be subject to slaughtering; 3) to observe strictly all the veterinary, sanitary, hygienic and zoo technical procedures for feeding and keeping of animals; 4) to prohibit the introduction of livestock destined for fattening into the dairy and pedigree farms; 5) to authorize trade or move out of animals for exchange, husbandry and exhibition originating from the farms free of tuberculosis for the period of no less than four years for cattle and no less than a year for swine. The principal method of ante mortem diagnostics of tuberculosis shall be intracutaneous tuberculin test. For carrying out thereof clean tuberculin shall be used for mammals and poultry.
