Résumé

This Joint Decree sanitary rules and regulations for combating and prophylaxis of yersiniosis – an infectious disease common to agricultural animals and human beings. Infection of human beings is usually transmitted by means of food, mostly through eating raw vegetables, consumption of milk, meat-based and poultry products that have not been sufficiently heat treated. Diagnosis and differential diagnosis shall be based upon analysis of epizootic situation, clinical data and anatomicopathological alterations of organs, and the results of bacteriological and serologic testing. Veterinary specialists must ensure: (a) strict observance of veterinary, sanitary and zoohygienic instructions for animal care; (b) optimal conditions for keeping and feeding animals; (c) timely diagnostics of the disease and isolation the source of the outbreak of the disease; (d) increase in resistance and prevention of infection of newly-born animals from external environment; (e) timely and qualitative disinfection; and (f) mandatory, timely and complete deratization and disinsection.
