Résumé This Intended Nationally Determined Contributions is a nationwide sectoral document aiming at illustrating the Niue commitment to combat climate change by reducing GHG emissions, in particular in the energy sector. Although the country already emits a low rate of emissions, it is possible through technological and behavioral means lower them, also given its collateral benefits including: decreased national expenditure associated with the escalating costs of importing fossil fuels; improved energy security; improved local air quality; support for Niue as an eco-tourism destination and encouraging sustainable development in the Pacific region.
