The present Instruction establishes the modalities of carrying out DNA-diagnostics of pedigree livestock as an integral part of genetic expertise of the origin and aperiodicities of pedigree livestock. DNA-diagnostics shall be carried out once in the lifetime of livestock. Veterinary experts at farms shall be entitled with the task of taking samples of biological material for DNA-diagnostics. Samples of biological materials for DNA-diagnostics shall include blood, sperm and plucks of hair taken from ear of the animals.
