Résumé

This Act, consisting of 19 sections divided into three Parts, establishes that the recreation fishing licences, issued under the Inland Fisheries Regulations 1973 shall be valid under the present Act and shall be subject to the same conditions as it was under the those Regulations. Any of the following licences in force under the Regulations immediately before the commencement day is, on that day, a commercial licence under the this Act: (a) a feeding eel licence; (b) a migrating eel licence; (c) an assistant eel fisherman's licence; (d) a juvenile eel licence. These licences shall be subject to the same conditions as it was under those Regulations. A fish farm licence in force under the Fisheries Act 1959 immediately before the commencement day is, on that day, a fish farm licence under the this Act. A wholly private fishery registered under Regulations immediately before the commencement day is, on that day, a registered private fishery under the present Act. The Commissioner of Inland Fisheries shall be continued as the Commissioner of Inland Fisheries.
