This standard applies to fruits of the varieties (cultivars) of Vitis vinifera L. to be exported and for supply fresh to the consumer after preparation and packaging. Wine grapes intended for industrial processing, are not covered by the present regulations. This standard defines also the minimum quality requirements to be met by grapes after preparation and packaging, classification, sizing, packaging and presentation, marking and labelling.
