Résumé These Regulations implement in Wales restrictions on imports and exports of certain animals and animal products in accordance with Commission Decision 2001/190/EC of 6 March 2001 concerning certain protection measures with regard to foot-and-mouth disease in the United Kingdom and repealing Decision 2001/145/EC. They place restrictions on the exportation of fresh meat, meat products, milk, milk products, semen, hides, skins, and other animal products and the import and export of live animals, and provide for measures of enforcement of control provisions. The restrictions introduced by these Regulations differ from those of the previous Regulations in that the veterinary certificate required for the export of these products can in some circumstances be replaced by a commercial certificate, suitably endorsed in accordance with regulation 12.
