At the outset the Act contains a definition clause relating to various terms employed therein such as, for example, “affected party”, “Chief Appeals Officer”, “Chief Screening Officer”, “Commission”, “controlled product”, “material safety data sheet”, etc. Section 11 establishes that any supplier who is required to disclose a) the chemical identity or concentration of any ingredient of a controlled product, or b) the name of any toxicological study that identifies any ingredient of a controlled product, may file a claim for exemption with the Chief Screening Officer if he considers it to be confidential business information. Furthermore, the text deals, inter alia, with requirements as to filing claims and fees payable, contents of claims, decisions, appeals, commission established, Appeal Boards, confidentiality of information, etc. The text consists of 51 sections.
