Its main tasks are (i) implementing the general policy of marketing, storing, and processing grains to secure the need for consumption within the country and export the surplus; (ii) exercising foreign trade concerning grains, mills, factories, machinery, equipment, supplies, spare parts, and all materials necessary; (iii) practicing internal trade, opening marketing centers for grains, and carrying out milling, processing, distribution, and sales of their products; (iv) establishing, developing, managing, investing, and renting silos, mills, warehouses, laboratories, coordination centers, facilities, and their related buildings; (v) storing and treating grains and their derivatives to ensure their preservation; (vi) concluding the necessary internal and external agreements and contracts; (vii) determine the specifications of grains and put in place the necessary studies to develop and improve the products; (viii) manufacture, installation, and maintenance of technical and electrical equipment for silos and mills; and (ix) holding training courses to qualify its technical cadres.
