National Anti-Corruption Division shall perform the following functions: (a) criminal investigation, under the conditions provided in the Code of Criminal Procedure for the prevention, detection and sanctioning of acts of corruption; (b) conducting, supervising and controlling investigations carried out at the request of the prosecutor by the judicial police officers under the exclusive authority of the Chief Prosecutor of the National Anti-Corruption Division; (c) management, supervision and control of the activities of technical aspects of criminal investigation, carried out by specialists in the economic field, financial, banking, customs, IT, as well as in other fields within the framework of the National Anti-Corruption Division; (d) participation, in accordance with the law, in court hearings; (e) elaboration of the annual report regarding the activity of the National Anti-Corruption Division and its presentation to the Superior Council of Magistracy and the Minister of Justice; (f) establishment and updating database in the field of corruption; and (g) exercising other functions assigned thereto by law.
