The Republic of Karelia is focusing its efforts and resources on solving acute problems in the following areas: (a) infrastructure support for the economic development of the region; (b) economic growth, which is achieved primarily through the development of existing and the creation of new industries; (c) improving public-private partnerships; (d) rational nature management provided by balanced consumption and development of advanced technologies; and (e) improvement of the quality of life of the population. In the field of agro-industrial complex shall be implemented investment projects for the development of beef cattle breeding of Aberdeen-Angus breed with a production volume of 500 tons of meat in live weight per year and for the construction of a fish processing plant with a refrigerator for processing cod, haddock and other types of fish with a production capacity of over 30 thousand tons of raw materials per year.
