Governmental Decree No. 507 validating the Strategy of development of small hydropower generation until 2017.

This Governmental Decree validates the Strategy of development of small hydropower generation until 2017, determining basic provisions for developing small hydropower genaration sector. The scope of the Strategy shall be sustainable development of fuel and energy complex with a view of ensuring national energy security through rational and economically substantiated use of combnination of different energy sources. The immediate and primary task of the Strategy shall be selection of economically rational projects for construction of small capacity hydropower generation plants on small rivrs and waterways. Primary objective of the Strategy shall be to obtain electricv energy in the shortest possible period.
