Résumé

Coordination council of safety of foodstuffs shall perform continuous monitoring and evaluation of food safety in order to ensure the necessary level of protection of human life and health, protection of the animal and plant world, proposals and scientific and expert support for making specific decisions, as well as the development of legal acts in the field of food safety. The Council coordinates the activities of the authorized bodies of state supervision in the field of food safety in the Republic of Tajikistan and ensures the implementation of international cooperation in the field of food safety. The rights and duties of the Council shall be as follows: (a) implementation of continuous monitoring and evaluation of food safety to ensure an adequate level of protection of human life and health, protection of the animal and plant world; (b) development and submittal of proposals to the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan on improving the state of food safety; (c) development, approval and implementation of joint measures of state supervision bodies that ensure the supervision of food safety; (d) consideration of controversial issues that have arisen during the conduct of state supervision in the framework of the activities of state bodies to ensure food safety; (e) implementation of other tasks established by the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On food safety”; (f) constitution of an ad hoc working group to verify the food safety regulations; and (g) interaction with local executive authorities at the national level.
