Within the scope of their competence, officials of the Sanitary Border Inspection shall: 1) Carry out veterinary control of the goods listed in Annex 1 of the present Regulation. 2) Upon importation of goods into the territory of the Republic of Latvia (also into the free zone) from the territory of another state. 3) Upon exportation of goods from the territory of the Republic of Latvia to the territory of another state; and 4) If the goods are stored in customs warehouse; and 5). Control compliance of the goods listed in Annex 2 of the present Regulation with mandatory harmlessness and security requirements: a) upon importation of goods from the territory of another state, free state, free zone or customs warehouse for free circulation, duty-free shop or processing; and b) if the goods are stored in customs warehouses.
